Tattoo removal for tattoo artists
Cosmetic tattoo removal without laser with SKINIAL removes any type and any color from the skin with one or a few treatments. The treatment causes no pain and leaves no scars. We work with a small micropigmentation device (not the strong rotary devices). The focus is on small and medium tattoos.
A thorough training
Learning the technique is no problem for participants who have already worked with needles. Two different techniques are combined with three concentrations of removal serums depending on the application and the area to be treated. In tattoo removal, like tattooing, experience is an important aspect to achieve consistently good results.
To get started with tattoo removal, the BASIC training is essential. It has three main focuses and is offered online and with a trainer. Some tattoo artists offer training for colleagues in your studio or mobile.
- Medical and cosmetic basics
- Our experience from over a decade of tattoo removal
- FADING technique
The FADING technique is perfect for cover-ups. In the PROFESSIONAL training upgrade, the DOT technique is taught. It requires more technical knowledge and follows a precise protocol, but allows for pinpoint, instant removal of pigmentation.
What results can be expected
With the FADING technique, you can often remove PMU and lighten small to medium sized areas of a body tattoo in a single treatment. The client sees the result even during the treatment. Usually, only a slight reddening of the treatment area remains, which is no longer visible after a short time.
With the DOT technique, even the removal of small and medium-sized tattoos is completely successful. The pigments on the treated area usually leave the skin with only one treatment. This makes this technique perfect for quick and small or precise corrections. The number of treatments depends on the size and shape of the tattoo. Full-surface tattoos are more difficult to remove with our DOT technique than lines and tribals.
Removing large tattoos with our small-scale method is not so practical and takes a long time. Tattooists have therefore had good experience with the combination of laser and SKINIAL. Lines, dark areas with a lot of color and light colors, which are rather difficult for lasers, were first removed with SKINIAL and then the large areas were treated with the laser.
Small corrections or complex changes – everything is possible
Cover-up
Because you can remove specific areas, it is also possible to create very large cover-ups in a filigree way and not just use large dark motifs to make the previous tattoo invisible.
PMU removal and small body corrections
More and more tattoo artists also offer PMU. SKINIAL’s great strength lies in the correction and removal of PMU. The complete removal of pigmentation such as eyeliner, lip contours or eyebrows often succeeds with only one treatment. Small name tattoos or corrections or distortions often require only two treatments. Depending on the amount of pigments present, the FADING or DOT technique is used. With the FADING technique, a new tattoo can be placed on the treatment area after only 4 weeks without any problems. With the DOT technique, you should wait 6-8 weeks because the epidermis must first form again in the areas where the color has left the body.
Lightening’s for a cover-up
Lightening a dark tattoo or a tattoo with a lot of pigment color in preparation for a cover-up has the advantage that the skin is not damaged, and no burns or skin damage can occur in the dermis. With each lightening, the treated area becomes lighter with only a few treatments and the tattoo artist can therefore estimate exactly what color intensity is needed. For the practitioner, but also for the client, the treatment is safe and not unpleasant. Already four weeks after the treatment, the tattoo can be transferred.
Combination of laser tattoo removal with SKINIAL
It is nonsensical to get into an ideological discussion between laser removal and cosmetic removal, as was often the case in the past. Both methods have their strengths and weaknesses. While SKINIAL can remove all colors, even on sensitive areas, quickly and without problems, the strengths of the laser, in our opinion, lie in larger areas for which SKINIAL is less suitable.
Once dark contours, lines or light colors are removed with a few treatments, the larger, partially shaded, or darker areas can be treated well with the laser afterwards. The reason for working with SKINIAL first is that SKINIAL requires healthy skin that has not been damaged by burns, e.g., of the dermis, because the rejection effect is based on the skin’s natural immune reaction to substances foreign to the body. SKINIAL cannot be used on scar tissue or laser damaged skin. In this respect, it is safer to start with SKINIAL because SKINIAL does not damage the dermis thermally or mechanically.
For laser clinics or practitioners who work with lasers, the possibility to use both techniques is a perfect complement and extension of your possibilities. Where laser reaches its limit, SKINIAL has its strengths and vice versa. The investment in SKINIAL for laser clinics is low, the return on investment is already achieved after a few treatments, and the benefits for practitioners and clients are great.
